Hand Built Wooden Boat

I grew up nearly surrounded by water, there was a large freshwater lake behind the town and the North Sea in front of it. As kids if we weren't swimming in it we were fishing in it or floating on it or messing about near it. I was never able to afford a boat as a kid but who needed a boat when you had a tractor inner tube but as I've got a little older now I like my comforts a little more. Why slum it if you don't have to? After coming across Uncle John's site and looking at the end results I was sold on the idea of building my own. Now I've never built a boat before and was a little suspect about my ability to complete the project without producing more firewood than boat, you can see the results for yourself on the pages below.
